Food is not waste, and I can make an impact! 2024
For the fourth year in a row, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is organizing the Exhibition entitled "Food is not waste, and I can have an impact!" in order to raise public awareness of the issue of food waste.
The aforementioned exhibition is planned as a manifestation with the aim of raising public awareness of the issue of food waste, and will be held on October 1, 2024, on the occasion of World Food Waste Awareness Day, which is celebrated every year on September 29. The event will be held in the entrance area of the National and University Library in Zagreb, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The idea of the Exhibition is that through seven thematic sections, which together form a whole, students from selected primary and secondary schools, through their practical and creative works, contribute to raising public awareness of the problem of food waste and food waste, and provide consumers with simple advice on how to reduce food waste at home, in a restaurant and when shopping.
The aforementioned Exhibition is one of the activities that contributes to the achievement of the goal of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development by 2030, which states that it is necessary to halve food waste at retail and household level and generally reduce food losses along the entire food chain.
Entrance is free for all visitors.
