On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Mali dom community service center, Mayor Tomislav Tomašević and Deputy Mayor Danijela Dolenec opened a newly renovated branch for services to adults with disabilities over the age of 21 in Zagreb's Badalićeva Street.
The need for accelerated development of specialized services for people with multiple disabilities after the age of 21 is recognized, and the opening of new day care centers, like the one in Badalićeva, is a big step for improving the quality of their lives.
This year, the city of Zagreb received the award for the European capital of inclusion and diversity, which it won in competition with 70 cities and regions, thanks, among others, to the dedicated work of the employees of Mali dom.
Mali dom will soon open a branch at the Zagreb fair, which will be dedicated to early intervention, i.e. the youngest, children with multiple developmental disabilities.
The goal is to improve conditions and expand services in all city institutions that provide support for children with developmental disabilities and people with disabilities, and to improve the network of social services throughout all parts of the city.
We are proud of the very successful cooperation with dear friends from Mali dom in the form of daily meal preparation for service users, and we hereby thank you for the Acknowledgment and heartily congratulate you on the 15th anniversary of work.
