DOBRI DOM presented the valuable work of employees in providing accommodation services (overnight accommodation) for the homeless with a focus on the elderly. The topic was followed with extreme attention by the participants of the symposium, and was included in the conclusions of this symposium (5): "Ensure the networking of health, educational and social institutions in the care of vulnerable poor elderly persons (referring to the practice of DOBROG DOMA from the City of Zagreb) ..."

The organizers of the symposium are the “Varaždin General Hospital” and the Croatian Association of Social Gerontologists, and the co-organizers are the Teaching Institute for Public Health "Dr. Andrija Štampar", the Croatian Medical Corps - Croatian Society for Gerontology and Geriatrics, the University of the North and the Home for the Elderly and Infirm “Varaždin”, while Sponsors: Ministry of Health, Varaždin County and Municipality of Bednja.

This time too, the symposium brought together eminent experts in the fields of geriatrics, gerontology and public health, providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences and innovative approaches in solving the challenges we face in this important field through professional lectures with renowned experts in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics. and at the same time, it sends an important positive message to the entire community, to recognize the extremely complex problems brought about by the fact of the aging of the population, not only in our country, but also at the level of Europe.
