On October 21, 2024, the third Zagreb Mental Health Symposium, with international participation, took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art under the title "Embracing Health: Building Resilience Among Youth." The symposium continued on October 22, 2024, via the Zoom platform. Organized by the City of Zagreb, the City Office for Social Welfare, Health, War Veterans, and Persons with Disabilities, and the Youth Health Center of the Zagreb-East Health Center, the event was dedicated to topics surrounding the development of psychological resilience and the ways in which community support can help foster stronger and more resilient communities, with a particular focus on supporting young people in navigating the challenges of modern society.
The “Good Home” Institution of the City of Zagreb, which provides services for the most vulnerable groups of users, including young people and, in particular, homeless youth within its Shelter for the Homeless, was represented at the symposium. Social worker Suzana Rožić attended on behalf of the institution, presenting the importance of mental health support for young people in vulnerable groups.
