Visit of Students from the Industrial Mechanical Engineering School to the Dining Facility in Branimirova
On 23 February 2026, students of the Industrial Mechanical Engineering School and members of the school group “Active Citizens Community” visited our dining facility in Branimirova Street as part of their volunteer and educational activities.
The students were welcomed by the Institution’s social workers and the head of the dining facility, who introduced them to the work of the kitchen and the structure of beneficiaries entitled to meals from the public kitchen, bringing them closer to the challenges faced by many of our fellow citizens.
The students showed great interest by asking additional questions. Upon the arrival of the beneficiaries and during meal distribution, they also had the opportunity to assist users with limited mobility by carrying meals to their tables or helping with their personal belongings.
We welcome every such collaboration, as it provides an opportunity to bring young people closer to the reality of vulnerable social groups and to encourage understanding, solidarity, and social responsibility. Through direct encounters and hands-on experiences, students can develop empathy, recognize the importance of community, and understand how even small gestures can make a significant difference to individuals in need.
